World’s first weatherproof Hijab and Niqab from Trekmates

For Trekmates, it’s been another massive step toward getting everyone safely protected from the elements in the outdoors. The Hijab and Niqab Collection has been designed to thrive in different trekking conditions using lightweight and durable, waterproof, windproof and breathable technologies to keep you warm and dry in any challenging condition. The collection includes the Haya Hijab, Amira Niqab and Silk Hijab Liner.

The weather-protective stretch Hijab head covering features a waterproof softshell at the crown of the head and a stretch polyester softshell with DWR at lower neck section. The waterproof crown section provides protection from wind and rain whilst the water resistant and wind-proof lower section provides greater breathability around the neck.

The Haya Hijab is shaped for full coverage of the forehead and allows for hair to be worn tied underneath. A stretch binding at the face and drawcord adjusters at the rear provide a secure fit.

The Amira Niqab is an outdoor performance face veil made from durable water-resistant softshell fabric and discreet high-density mesh section over the nose and mouth, which increases breathability during exercise while maintaining modest appearance.

The Amira can be attached to the Haya Hijab via buttons at the bottom and elasticated loops on the Hijab and to prevent the veil being lifted in windy conditions. The Niqab also features double straps made from gripper elastic.

The silk hijab liner can be worn under the Hiya Hijab for added warmth or on its own as a lightweight head covering. The Hijab Liner is made from lightweight 100% silk jersey fabric and features stretch binding at the face.
